Just like to take a minute to thank the organizers of the Lancaster County Christmas Parade of lights. As we drove up the parade route you knew it was a great success and we were very fortunate to have the great weather we did on Saturday night.
It was truly amazing to see how organized Lancaster County, was for this extremely large parade. I would like to take a minute to thank all of the parade organizers, Lancaster County Police, Lancaster Sheriffs and the Local Fire Departments whose hard work made this a truly safe & successful event.
Thanks also has to go out to all the volunteers, businesses, vendors and County employees who work these events, Without your help and support the City could never be truly as successful as they are.
This festival of lights parade brought many smiles and cheers from children young and old. Parades like the one we have here bring a community together and allows them to spend time with one another. They get a chance to put things aside for an evening and come out as a family and understand what being part of a community really means. Not to mention they get to spread some holiday cheer.
Lastly, we would like to thank the parade participants who recognized the volunteers and thanked them for their help. Our experience of being in a small town parade and seeing all of the community coming together as one makes this occasion very important for its future success.
